It’s not official yet, it will be decide in the next weeks.After Texas in United States in 2007, the valley of Serre Chevalier was retained by the IAU (International association of Ultrarunners) to organize July 12th, 2009, World of TRAIL (test(event) of mountain).
Serre Chevalier is located GUISANE’s valley in the department of the Hautes-Alpes, the South Alps, near the National park of les Ecrins. The Serre Chevalier summit peaks reachs 2 483 m. It is an ideal place for a mountain’s event in particular for a world championship of TRAIL.
This International competition will be the traditional MERREL SKY THOROUGHBRED (usual classification, more classification World championship, but a single race).
from experiences (experiments) to running, Benoît LAVAL is going to return maybe finally in French team … He(it) is going to realize one of his(its) dreams!
Benoît Laval, who gains experiences after several years of running. He is going to enter in the official French team. One of his dream is going to be realized.
We can say that Benoît is one of pioneers of the TRAIL in France and it would be that just reward that he participates in this world championship …
